What to do senior year of high school: Seniors start to narrow down colleges based on their preferences and values. They apply to these schools, attend college fairs, apply for scholarships, and potentially choose an area of study.

ACT & SAT HELP

What is the ACT: The ACT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. The purpose of the ACT test is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants.

What is the SAT: The SAT is universal, standardized test students take before applying to college. It is an essential component of most college applications, so putting in time and effort to prepare for this exam will have a substantial pay off. SAT help is available online for all students, but some students choose to hire individual tutors. 

The higher you score on the ACT and/or SAT, the more options for attending and paying for college will be available to you.

HOW TO WRITE A COLLEGE ESSAY

What is a College Essay: College essays are included in most college applications. They typically ask you to reflect on your strengths and weaknesses, share your stories, as well as academic and career goals. Although your essay should reflect your personality, there are some guidelines that any student can follow to aid in their craft. Although schools do put the most emphasis on grades and test scores, a well-crafted college essay can greatly boost your student profile.
